Innovation in Participatory Learning Awards

Yesterday, I was having a discussion with a lecturer of mine and we happened to have discussed the Innovation in Participatory Learning Awards and what we could do to enter in for the competition. Interesting enough, today, I got a following from the twitter account of the DML themselves and I was thrilled about the coincidence.

Before I get to far, I should start by defining what Participatory Learning is: “Participatory Learning includes the ways in which new technologies enable learners (of any age) to contribute in diverse ways to individual and shared learning goals. Through games, wikis, blogs, microblogs, virtual environments, social networking sites, cell phones and mobile devices and other digital platforms.”

A grant amounting to $30k-$250k is being awarded for winners and in the whole of Africa, the only eligible applicants will come from Nigeria and South Africa only.

If you are interested further still, you can visit the website for more information.
